t-mobile samsung galaxy note announcement
After confirming its existence through Twitter support yesterday, T-Mobile officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Note today. In a recent T-Mobile survey, 77 percent of consumers were noted to prefer a device with a 4.5-inch or larger screen rather than a smaller display. The Galaxy Note could be an ideal device for many of those consumers, considering its massive display. And unlike Verizon’s upcoming LG Optimus Vu monstrosity, the Galaxy Note is actually quite popular among those who prefer larger than average displays on their smartphones. As you may recall from its European/Asian launches, the Galaxy Note features a 5.3″ HD Super Amoled display, a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU (Snapdragon S3, not S4), 1GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy Note will arrive on T-Mobile in the “coming weeks.” Pricing has yet to be announced.

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note specs:
- 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon™ S3 1.5GHz dual-core processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 8 megapixel rear camera
- 2 megapixel front-facing camera
- “4G” (HSPA+ 42) connectivity
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung’s Premium Suite (S Pen, S Note, S Memo)
