Nick DiCarlo, Samsung’s VP of product planning, made an appearance on the Fox Business network yesterday to show off the Galaxy Nexus. In the video above, DiCarlo shows off the face unlock and real-time voice recognition features. Unfortunately, he didn’t reveal a release date for the first smartphone with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, only stating that it would be available “just a little bit later this year.” As for pricing, DiCarlo said, “hopefully Verizon will let us know very soon.”
We’ve seen many rumored dates, ranging from November 17th to the 21st to just after Black Friday, so we’re really not sure when to expect the Galaxy Nexus at this point. It’s also rumored to carry an on-contract price of $299.99 and outright price of $649.99.
