Redbox Instant by Verizon is now available for Android on the Google Play Store and for iOS on iTunes (iPhone, iPad). The movie streaming app is currently in Beta form and won’t go final until 2013, so an invite is required for access – simply sign up with an email address on Redbox to receive an access code.

The company hasn’t officially announced the apps’ availability yet, however, they posted the following tweet on Twitter earlier: “Today is the day! We’re gradually rolling out access to redboxinstant.com.” Beta testers are treated to a free one month trial of unlimited movie streaming, plus four DVD credits redeemable at Redbox kiosks. Aside from streaming films, the app allows users to reserve movies at the box, bookmark favorite titles, browse through the movie library, and even buy or rent titles without a subscription. After the trial, the subscription will cost $8 per month to continue the same service or $6 per month for just streaming service. Feature-list and screenshots can be viewed below.

Redbox Instant by Verizon Features:
- Instantly watch movies on your phone and tablet
- Reserve movies at the box
- Bookmark your favorite titles
- Buy and rent movies, even without a subscription
- Browse through thousands of popular movies

Notes: Verizon Wireless service is not required to use the app, Free Trial gets you a month of unlimited streaming movies, plus 4 DVD credits you can use at the Redbox kiosk. The app is also in the works for Google TV.
