While many consumers are waiting for the HTC One to go on sale in their respective markets, the folks at iFixit have already disassembled the flagship Android smartphone for all to see what’s under the hood.

As you may recall, the One features a 4.7-inch 1080p Full HD Super LCD 3 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core 1.7GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of internal storage, a 4 megapixel UltraPixel rear camera, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, a 2,300mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and dual front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers.

The One received a “repairability” score of one out of 10 due to difficulties involved with battery placement, prying open the device and the fact that many of the components are nearly inaccessible without causing damage. That’s the lowest repair rating for any smartphone that’s been through the firm’s labs, so future owners will probably want to invest in a sturdy case for protection. Check out the teardown image gallery below and head to iFixit for the related commentary.
