This Android smartphone-tablet hybrid, or “phablet,” is also available on all major US carriers, including Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile, as well as many worldwide mobile providers. It’s the same device showcased in a recent Samsung commercial featuring NBA superstar LeBron James, which earned a spot on the Top 10 Most Viral Video Tech Ads of 2012 list.
The Galaxy Note 2 features an over-sized 5.5-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display (RGB, not Pentile), an Exynos 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot), an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, 3,100mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and the new & improved S Pen stylus that’s integrated with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and TouchWiz. The handset’s dimensions and weight are as follows: 5.94 (H) x 3.16 (W) x .37 (D) inches and 183 g (6.5 oz).
