If you’ve been waiting for an LG branded Android smartphone with a large HD display on Big Red’s 4G LTE network, today’s the day to put your credit card to good use. Verizon Wireless has released the LG Spectrum, an impressive handset that we went hands-on with while at CES 2012 last week. Now, it can be yours for $199.99 with a new or renewing two year agreement, which is a steal for a 4G LTE smartphone on Verizon (usually upwards of $300).

Aside from the speedy LTE connectivity, the LG Spectrum features a 4.5-inch True HD 720p IPS display with 329 pixel density, a Qualcomm 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash (1080p video capture), a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and it runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread with an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich expected in the near future. Check out our video demos from CES below to see it in action.
