Facebook Home was announced today as a new home and lock screen replacement for Android that’s geared around the popular social media network. As we mentioned earlier, the UX will be available for free on Google Play on April 12th, but which devices will support the new software?
According to Facebook, Home will only be available for select smartphones at launch with tablet support coming months later. While the launch list only names recent devices from Samsung and HTC, we imagine Sony, Motorola, LG and others will join the party in the months ahead. The HTC First, which will release next Friday on AT&T, has mid-range specs as the official Facebook Home phone, so it’s more than likely Facebook will make the whole Home experience available on as many devices as possible by the end of the year.
