If you’ve been waiting for an affordable mid to high-end LG-branded Android smartphone to drop on Verizon Wireless, then you’re in luck as the Spectrum 2, known elsewhere as the Optimus LTE II, is now available to purchase online for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a new two-year agreement.
The Spectrum 2 features a large 4.7-inch True HD 1280×720 AH–IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD), an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE connectivity, 2150 mAh battery, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The handset also has a unique battery cover that enables wireless charging. The device’s product listing mentions just 1GB of RAM, which is a disappointment considering the original launched with 2GB of RAM back in May 2012.
