According to a brief statement from Verizon Wireless today, the “Windows Phone 8X by HTC and the Nokia Lumia 822 will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, November 9, at 1am ET.” At Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 shindig late last month, Big Red announced that the pair of devices would be available by Thanksgiving at price-points of $199.99 for the 8X and $99.99 for the Lumia 822. The HTC Windows Phone 8x is highlighted by a 4.3-inch 720p HD resolution Super LCD2 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, support for Beats Audio technology, NFC, 4G LTE connectivity, and an 1800 mAh battery. Big Red claims the handset will be available in California Blue, Graphite Black and Flame Red sometime in November, before Thanksgiving, for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement.
The Nokia Lumia 822 sports a 4.3-inch AMOLED WVGA (800×480) ClearBlack display with super sensitive touch for nail & glove use, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), an 8 megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash, a 1.2 megapixel HD front-facing camera, NFC support, 4G LTE connectivity, and an 1800 mAh battery. It’s expected to be released for just $99.99 (with contract) by Thanksgiving in November.
