T-Mobile Partners with Apple, Could Release iPhone 6 and iPad 5 in 2013

T-Mobile will finally offer Apple’s iPhone and iPad products beginning in 2013. After sitting out for half a decade as AT&T, Verizon and Sprint reaped the benefits, the fourth largest carrier in the nation finally reached an agreement with Apple to bring the popular iOS-powered devices to its subscribers next year. The news came directly from Rene Obermann, CEO of T-Mobile’s parent company Deutsche Telekom, who revealed that T-Mobile USA “has entered into an agreement with Apple to bring products to market together in 2013.” Unfortunately, the company is only teasing the announcement at the moment, mentioning that additional details would be made available at a “later date.” This is a huge move for T-Mo, as the mobile provider has been heavily leaning on Android smartphones and tablets for years now. It’s unclear if we’ll see a belated release of the iPhone 5 and iPad 4th generation on T-Mobile early in 2013 before the iPhone 6 and iPad 5th generation debut later in the year.
