Before the HTC Arrive Windows Phone 7 was officially announced last month, a placeholder showed up on Sprint’s site letting everyone know that it was coming soon. Now, the same is happening for the rumored Samsung Nexus S 4G. The page located at now.sprint.com/nexus/ notes that something is coming soon, and it’s pretty obvious what they’re talking about. In case you missed our earlier post, the Nexus S 4G is supposedly a CDMA-powered Nexus S with 4G WiMax capabilities for Sprint, and it’s expected to be announced at CTIA Wireless in Orlando on March 22.
The other rumored Sprint Android devices, the HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View, don’t exactly have placeholders yet, but when you type now.sprint.com/evo3d and now.sprint.com/evoview into the address bar, they will redirect you to Sprint’s homepage. What does that mean? It means Sprint acknowledges those names, since typing in a random term would direct you to a “not found” error page. CTIA just got a bit more interesting. We’ll keep you posted if anything else surfaces.
UPDATE: Sprint has pulled the page, but the damage has already been done. We’re on to you, Sprint!
