It makes sense to believe that the Samsung Galaxy S, one of the newer Android devices out on the market, is going to be a huge success in the US. The smartphone handset-maker will have 4 variants of the Galaxy S out on the US market when it’s all said and done. T-Mobile’s Vibrant and AT&T’s Captivate have already been released, while Verizon’s Fascinate and Sprint’s Epic 4G are still listed as coming soon. However, there’s a sign that Sprint’s variant, the Epic 4G, will launch by August 20. You see, Samsung’s support site has a Sprint Epic 4G video planned for that day, which is significant because the Vibrant and Captivate were released on or slightly before their respective videos were posted on Samsung’s support site. It seems they will follow the same pattern for the Epic 4G.
Sprint’s Epic 4G will be the only version of the Galaxy S with a slideout hardware keyboard. Judging by videos and images of the device, it may be one of the best physical keyboards available on any Android device. The sleek slider is powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and features Samsung’s new Super AMOLED technology for its large 4″display. It will be Sprint’s second device to run on their high-speed 4G data network. Due to the presence of the full QWERTY keyboard, it may be a good alternative to those who skipped the EVO 4G.
Anyone waiting eagerly for the Epic 4G?
