The Sony Yuga Android smartphone emerged in a set of in-the-wild photos in November and now it’s back with a couple more images from a new source. Like the Verizon HTC Droid DNA and KDDI HTC J Butterfly, the Yuga is rumored to feature a 5-inch 1080p Full HD screen (possibly WhiteMagic display by JDI), Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The handset is reportedly on schedule for a January or February unveiling, which either means a CES 2013 or Mobile World Congress 2013 announcement. We’ll be at CES on January 8, so we hope to report back with more coverage then.
Note: according to Wikipedia, Yuga is the name of an ‘epoch’ or ‘era’ within a cycle of four ages in Hindu philosophy.
