Sony Xperia Z vs Xperia ZL Demo at CES 2013 (Video)

At CES 2013 in Las Vegas, Sony unveiled the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL Android smartphones, each of which are set to release globally in Q1 2013. The pair of handsets are very similar in terms of core features, but there are some slight differences as well. One thing is for sure, the Sony Xperia Z and ZL now join the HTC Droid DNA, J Butterfly, ZTE Grand S and others as phones with impressive 5-inch 1080p FHD displays. Specs of the devices are listed below and our demo video from this year’s International CES is posted above.

Xperia Z Specs:
- 5-inch Full HD 1080×1920 Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine 2
- 13 megapixel fast capture camera with Exmor RS for mobile and HDR video
- Dust and water resistant (IP55 and IP57)
- 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor
- 2GB of RAM
- Battery Stamina mode improves standby time by at least four times
- One-touch mirroring
- 4G LTE
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (update to 4.2 soon after launch)

Xperia ZL Specs:
- 5-inch Full HD 1080×1920 Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine 2
- 13 megapixel fast capture camera with Exmor RS for mobile and HDR video
- 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor
- 2GB of RAM
- Battery Stamina mode improves standby time by at least four times
- One-touch mirroring
- Maximized display with the highest ratio of screen to phone size (meaning, nearly bezel-less)
- 4G LTE
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (update to 4.2 soon after launch)
