The Sony Xperia A SO-04E “Dogo” and Xperia UL SOL22 “Gaga” Android smartphones are rumored to be headed to Japan on carriers NTT Docomo and KDDI, respectively, according to a source. A smattering of specs were also revealed for the Xperia A and UL phones.
The Xperia A is said to have a 4.6-inch display (either 720p HD or 1080p FHD), Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 32 GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, an infrared port and a 2300mAh battery. There’s a possibility that we’ll see this one launch in multiple markets across the globe, not just in Japan.
The Xperia UL, like the Xperia ZL, sports a 5-inch 1080p Full HD Reality display. It also rocks Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core chipset, 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, infrared and a 2300mAh removable battery.
As with most handsets destined for the Japanese market, the pair of devices will be dust/water-resistant and feature osaifu-keitai (mobile wallet) and One-Seg TV features as well.
Finally, there’s also word Sony is working on a 6.4-inch 1080p screened Android phablet for NTT Docomo. The massive phone, which we’ve heard about in the past, is rumored to carry the codename “Togari.”
