Sony to Announce New Xperia Soon with Help from Fans

Sony originally planned to unveil the “next Xperia” around June 21-22, according to a countdown present on their Facebook page, but they’ve given their smartphone fan-base a chance to accelerate the process. Sony is urging consumers to click a “fast forward” button on a Facebook app that will actually make the timer tick faster with each act of participation. The publicity stunt will likely make headlines today and it could contribute in generating buzz for the next Sony-branded Android smartphone. Speaking of, there’s a strong possibility that the device in question is simply a global version of the Xperia GX.
