Who didn’t like the Sonic the Hedgehog series back in the early days of gaming? The speedy hedgehog gave us thrills as he spin-dashed across zones, raced through loops and pummeled his enemies by jumping on them. Along with Nintendo’s Mario series, the 2D side-scrolling Sonic games are surefire hall of fame titles. Unfortunately, with the advancement in gaming technology, the gameplay shifted from 2D to 3D and the franchise was never the same – that is, until now. Sega released Sonic 4 for the iPhone and iPod Touch the other day and we’re happy to report that Sonic is, in fact, back!
