Vector Unit, well-known for creating Riptide GP, has released a new water-craft racing game for Android, called Shine Runner. This game has high quality graphics with excellent water physics, but it’s more of a casual gaming experience. You don’t race against the CPU and you really can’t lose even on your worst day. The goal of the game is to buy items high and sell them low on the black market between races. We suppose it’s similar in nature to high score oriented games out there. While the water racing aspect is fun, we think Vector Unit missed out big time by not making the game more challenging. Heck, it probably would be better off as a traditional racer. Still, if you simply want to ride the open waters on a fanboat, then perhaps the $1.99 price tag isn’t too much. Check it out in the Android Market if you’re interested.
