This is a quick rundown from CES 2013 of Sharp’s two Android smartphones with IGZO display technology. IGZO screens promise ultra low power consumption and high sensitivity. The first phone in the demo is called the Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E and it recently became available in Japan on carrier NTT Docomo. The second, the Aquos Phone Xx 203SH, won’t be released until March on Softbank. No word on whether Sharp is close to launching any IGZO Android smartphones in the US, but we’d certainly be interested in a variant or two.

Sharp Aquos Zeta SH-02E IGZO smartphone specifications: 4.9-inch 720p HD IGZO display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8063 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 16 megapixel rear camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, 9.8mm thick, waterproof/dustproof, 2,320mAh battery, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (4.1 Jelly Bean update coming) with Feel UX.

Note: Softbank’s Aquos Phone Xx 203SH should have similar specs to Docomo’s device.
