According to sources, Samsung is already testing Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates for both the Galaxy S II and Galaxy S III smartphones. This would indicate that a release for the Galaxy S3 could be coming much sooner than expected, with the tipster noting August or September as strong possibilities. The Galaxy S2 upgrade will likely be a very long wait, but it’s good to hear Samsung is strongly considering last year’s flagship model in the first place. Of course, US variants of those devices will take even longer since they have to pass carrier approval. It’s believed the Galaxy Note will also be updated in the future.
