Samsung P10 Galaxy Tab Android Tablet with 11.8-inch 2560×1600 HD Display in the Works for 2012 Debut

According to submitted court documents during the ongoing Apple vs Samsung saga, the South Korean electronics manufacturer is apparently preparing a tablet, currently codenamed “P10,” that has a monstrous 11.8-inch HD display with 2560×1600 (WQXGA) resolution, 256 ppi and 16:10 aspect ratio. It also sports 4G LTE connectivity, in case you were wondering. Although it wasn’t mentioned, we imagine it will be powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by the time it’s launched.

If those specs sound familiar, it’s because similar information was leaked eight months ago. Back then, it was reported that Samsung would launch the aforementioned tablet at Mobile World Congress in late February of 2012. Obviously, we’re five months beyond that time-frame, so perhaps Samsung needed to go back to the drawing board for whatever reason. The document still lists the tablet under “2012.”

Samsung will be holding a press conference in NYC on August 15, where a revamped Galaxy Note 10.1 may get its proper unveiling, however, it’s possible the Galaxy Tab 11.8 could make its debut as well. If it doesn’t show up at the US event, there’s also IFA 2012 in Berlin, Germany at the end of August through early September.
