The previously rumored Samsung Galaxy S4 Active (model: GT-I9295) has been spotted in the wild.
The rugged variant of the flagship Galaxy S4 Android smartphone, which is said to be both waterproof and dustproof, appeared in several leaked photos. Oddly enough, the device looks completely different from the original Galaxy S4. The Active sports an industrial design with four visible screws and a metallic red or orange casing on the back, as well as three hardware buttons along the bottom of the front. Key specifications have been confirmed, including a 5-inch 1080p FHD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.9GHz quad-core processor with Adreno 320 GPU (update: conflicting specs!). While the meat of the guts appear to be the same as the standard S4, the source of the photos also claims the Active has a downgraded 8 megapixel camera. An official product announcement from Samsung is expected in the near future.
