As you may already know, Samsung will be hosting a press event to introduce a new device on August 15. According to BGR, that mystery device has been “confirmed” as the Samsung Galaxy Note II Android smartphone. The handset’s massive 5.5-inch display is supposedly “thinner and taller” than what’s currently found on the original 5.3-inch screened Galaxy Note. Unfortunately, that’s all that was mentioned, but it’s certainly a surprise considering most expected the next Samsung phablet to be announced in October at IFA 2012.
