Samsung Tested Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III by Sitting on Them (Durability Tests Video)

Samsung has posted a video showing how they tested their 2012 flagship smartphone lineup consisting of the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II. The Android handsets were apparently put through a litany of durability tests that some may consider smartphone abuse. The video demonstrates the load test, button press test (200-300g of pressure, 20 million times), stress/bend test, scratch test (key and coins scratch simulation), rain test (60ml dropped per hour), and a waterproof test (12 liters poured for 35 seconds). The load test, or what we’re calling the “ass test,” in particular, was rather interesting, as it simulates someone weighing 100kg (220 pounds) and wearing jeans repeatedly sitting on the device. Check out the cringe-worthy video above.
