Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Android Tablet Pictured Next to Galaxy Note II Smartphone (Image)

Yesterday, the first photos of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet leaked out for public consumption. Today, we have even better, more revealing pictures to examine. Appearing on a French blog, the new images show the 8-inch tablet sized up next to the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II smartphone, with both S Pen digital styli whipped out of their respective holsters. It looks like Samsung will be using a version of the Touchwiz UX that’s geared more for phones rather than tablets to go along with the hardware that’s designed to be used primarily in portrait orientation. Of course, this is not much of a surprise since stock Android 4.2 Jelly Bean sets the standard by blurring the line between smartphones and tablets anyway. Still, it’s worth noting since the larger Galaxy Note 10.1 with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean still relies heavily on a tablet-optimized UI. As for the slight tease in software, it’s good to see the multi-window view feature alive and well with the Note 8, too. We’re about a month away from the Galaxy Note 8.0′s official announcement, which should take place at MWC 2013 in late February, so sit tight, folks.
