A reliable source already confirmed the existence of a Samsung smart watch or fitness device the other day. Now, a tipster claims the following images are screenshots taken from the “Galaxy Altius” smartwatch and its “test” operating system. Don’t get too excited though. There are plenty of signs hinting that this could just be a hoax, unfortunately. Altius was already tagged as the codename for the upcoming Galaxy S IV Android smartphone, so it doesn’t make sense for the same name to appear on these “screenshots.” While Altius is part of the Project J series, the smartwatch was believed to carry the Active or Fortius moniker. Also, test OS or not, the images just look sloppy. There are misspellings and inconsistent elements from one shot to another. If this is legit, then the product must still be in pre-alpha stages.
