Think Verizon’s Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S) and its Super AMOLED display are hot? Check out Big Red’s future plans with this Samsung branded Android, purportedly known as the SCH-i400 Continuum. At first glance you may not notice, but along the bottom, directly under the main display, is a secondary OLED panel! The additional screen would serve to conserve power by being used as a “Ticker.” Think of the possibilities here: RSS feed, missed call/voicemail/text notifications, weather – all without having to turn the battery-sucking larger screen on. The smaller screen activates when the bottom of the phone is touched.

Two displays in one handset? Sign me up! The Continuum is also reported to have a microSD card slot on the side and dedicated camera button.
