According to Business Insider, Samsung apparently just confirmed that the Verizon Wireless LTE version of the Galaxy Nexus has been delayed to December. The news is sure to disappoint many eager US consumers, especially since Google hasn’t been shy about repeatedly telling everyone it would land in November.
It’s unclear what’s behind the delay, but it’s possible Verizon simply doesn’t want to cannibalize sales of their recently released high-end Android smartphones, the HTC Rezound and Motorola Droid Razr. Unfortunately, this means Verizon customers will have to sit in envy as those in Europe continue to enjoy their already released Galaxy Nexus handsets.
The Galaxy Nexus has an advantage over other devices because it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and offers a “pure Google” experience with first class support. No word on an exact release date or pricing for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus.
