Runtastic PRO for Android, a popular personal tracking app for running, biking and other sports activities, has been updated to version 3.3.1 with some significant new features. Most notably, Runtastic teamed up with Google Earth to become the first fitness app with 3D video playback. The app also conveniently auto pauses when there are unscheduled stops along routes now. runtastic Earth View
runtastic has teamed with Google Earth to become the first fitness app with 3D video playback. After completing a run, you can now relive a scenic jog, show your kids a recap of your marathon success, or share a challenging new route with friends. In addition to retracing a route, the video feature displays the time, pace, elevation and places of interest.
From traffic lights to untied shoes, unscheduled stops are inevitable, but with Auto Pause these disruptions won’t alter time calculation. runtastic’s Auto Pause feature pauses the app timer when you come to a stop, and starts up automatically once you resume your activity, eliminating the need for manual pausing. We integrated this feature in our runtastic PRO iPhone and runtastic PRO Android app and built an algorithm to stop and restart as quickly as possible, giving you a precise reading of your time and pace.
