Redesigned Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Quad-Core Android Tablet Announced, Coming in August (Specs, Pics, Video)

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 10.1 Android tablet ahead of IFA 2012. If it feels like you’re experiencing a bit of deja vu, that’s because this is the second time Samsung has introduced the device. However, this time the tablet has been redesigned with more power, memory and a better camera in order to better appease consumers.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 now features the following specs: a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280×800) display, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, 16/32/64GB storage configurations, microSD card slot, an accelerometer, digital compass, light sensor, gyroscope, 7,000mAh battery, and the S-Pen stylus. All that in an 8.9mm thin body weighing just 597-600g, depending on the model. On the software-side, the GN10.1 offers Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Samsung’s TouchWiz user experience,a Multiscreen feature for true multitasking, S Note, S Planner, Crayon physics, Adobe Photoshop Touch, Polaris Office, Smart Stay, Pop Up Play, AllShare Play, AllShare Group Cast, Music Hub, Game Hub, Learning Hub, Readers Hub, Video Hub, Media Hub and Google services.

The WiFi-only and 3G HSPA+ versions of the Galaxy Note 10.1 will be available at launch in Korea, Germany, the UK and the US in August. An LTE model will be released later this year.
