Great news for casual gaming fans! PopCap Games will finally release the sequel to its hit Plants vs. Zombies game this summer. According to the teaser video below, “Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time” will hit smartphones and tablets in July 2013. Back in August of last year, PopCap said PvZ2 would offer new features, such as hordes of new plant and zombie types, settings, and situations. We imagine it will first be available on iOS, but hopefully an Android launch will follow soon after. Unfortunately, no in-game screenshots or footage were provided, but at least we know the title is coming soon, especially after it failed to meet the originally planned Spring release.
