In the video above, we take a quick look at Nyan Droid Live Wallpaper for Android. It’s a modified version of the popular Nyan Cat animation that you’ve most likely seen on YouTube (approaching 50 million views). As you will see in the clip, the familiar cat with pop tart body has been replaced with an Android robot with Ice Cream Sandwich body. Sorry, no repetitive nyan music remix with this live wallpaper, but it’s still cool nonetheless. You can grab it for free in the Android Market.
This live wallpaper suddenly became more interesting because it was recently discovered that Google placed a Nyan Droid Easter egg in the settings menu of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. You can view a demo of that on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus below.
