
After announcing the Sony Xperia GX (SO-04D) back in May, NTT Docomo has finally released the Android smartphone to the Japanese market today. The Xperia GX rocks a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display, Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13 megapixel rear camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, Xi LTE connectivity, NFC, One-Seg TV, on-screen navigational buttons and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Its frame is actually based on the curvy Xperia Arc and it’s considered one of the more impressive handsets from Sony this year. The Xperia SX will also join the Xperia GX as part of Docomo’s 2012 summer lineup tomorrow, August 10.
