Mozilla has released a “dynamic upgrade” of their Firefox mobile Web browser for the Android platform. Firefox 14 is said to be “screaming fast” with dramatic performance improvements – noticeable during startup, page loading, panning and zooming. With the latest update, Firefox is apparently faster than the default Android 4.0.4 browser now, at least according to the popular Sunspider benchmark. Mozilla’s in-house benchmark, Eideticker, claims Firefox is two times faster than the stock browser when measuring the actual user Web experience for Android. Also, the Awesome Screen has been refreshed and Flash support is still alive and well, in case you were wondering. Firefox 14 for Android is available for download now in the Google Play Store.
