After teasing us with a sprinkle of detail here and there for the last month, LG finally announced its flagship “Optimus G” Android smartphone in full. The Korea-based handset manufacturer officially revealed a press image and the following specs:

LG also vertically-integrated its sister companies, LG Chem, LG Display and LG Innotek, to deliver a product that offers longer battery life, a thinner profile and a brighter display compared to its predecessors. The Optimus G will be released in Korea starting next month, September, and a global launch will be scheduled later. NTT Docomo will launch the phone (model L-01E) in Japan in either October or November. Look for the OG to be formally unveiled on stage at IFA 2012 on August 29.
