The LG Nexus 4 Android smartphone and Samsung Nexus 10 Android tablet were both released on the Google Play Store today. Unfortunately, both the 8GB ($300) and 16GB ($350) versions of the Nexus 4 sold out shortly after its listing on the Web store, though it’s now tagged with “coming soon” and users can sign up to be notified of new stock. The 16GB ($400) and 32GB ($500) Nexus 10 are still available for purchase, but users should act fast if interested as it’s likely to sell out by the end of the day as well. Measuring 8.9mm thick and 603g in weight, the new, larger Nexus tablet features a 10-inch WQXGA Display (2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, 300 ppi), 1.7 GHz Samsung Exynos 5250 dual-core Cortex A15 processor with Mali T604 GPU, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 5 megapixel rear camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, NFC, WiFi connectivity, front-facing stereo speakers, and a 9,000mAh battery that offers 9 hours of continuous video playback. As for software, it’s running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which offers new features like a quick settings menu, multiple user account support, Miracast wireless display support, Photo Sphere camera, Daydream screensaver, and a Gesture Typing keyboard. The Nexus 4 features a 4.7-inch WXGA IPS display (1280×768 pixel resolution, 320 ppi), Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 8 or 16GB storage configurations, 2GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a 2,100 mAh battery. The handset also weighs 139 grams and measures 9.1mm thick. Like with the Nexus 10, the Nexus 4 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which offers new features like a quick settings menu, multiple user account support, Miracast wireless display support, Photo Sphere camera, Daydream screensaver, and a Gesture Typing keyboard.
