LG has scheduled a press conference for May 1st in New York City. The invite for the event, currently being sent out to members of the media, is tagged with “Share the Genius” and “Capture the Spotlight in True Brilliance.” Those taglines do little to reveal LG’s plans for the event early next month and there really aren’t any rumors to go on at this point. Android smartphone enthusiasts are surely hoping to hear about a new device announcement – possibly a U.S. variant of the 5.5-inch, Snapdragon 600-powered Optimus G Pro or maybe even its sequel. Of course, that’s just speculation on our part. Tune back in a couple weeks from now to get official news from LG.
