
Huawei released their Ascend D1 Android smartphone in China today. It will also be available to consumers in Russia this August on LANCK Telecom, followed by markets in other regions soon after. Not to be mistaken as the more powerful Ascend D Quad, the Ascend D1 offers an OMAP 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 4.5-inch 720p HD IPS+ display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, an 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
