Verizon and HTC will co-host a special media event in New York City at 11AM ET on November 13. The two companies started sending out invitations to the press today – “We invite you to experience our latest collaboration” – though juicy details are scarce at the moment. Could it be a press conference for the Android-powered HTC Droid DNA or the WP8-equipped HTC Windows Phone 8X? Maybe both? The former seems like an obvious prediction since it hasn’t been officially acknowledged yet; and the latter, although previously announced, could compliment the headliner as the undercard of the event. We’ll be sure to report back with all the specs, photos and videos of whatever product takes the spotlight next Tuesday.

The Droid DNA is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p FHD Super LCD 3 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, 4G LTE connectivity, 2500mAh battery and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 4+.

The HTC Windows Phone 8x is highlighted by a 4.3-inch 720p HD resolution Super LCD2 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, support for Beats Audio technology, NFC, 4G LTE connectivity, and an 1800 mAh battery. Big Red claims the handset will be available in California Blue, Graphite Black and Flame Red sometime in November, before Thanksgiving, for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement.
