HTC One X Coming to AT&T, But There’s a Catch (Specs)

AT&T appears to be bringing the best of the best from HTC’s upcoming 2012 lineup to the U.S, however, there’s a huge catch that could be a deal-breaker for some. As you know, the global HTC One X will feature a powerful 1.5GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Well, if you read the fine-print for the U.S. One X, you will notice it’s been downgraded to a 1.5GHz dual-core (I repeat, dual-core) Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor in order to make it play nice with AT&T’s 4G LTE network. Now, to be clear, the Snapdragon S4 CPU is no slouch, but it’s certainly not expected to be on the same level as Nvidia’s quad-core chip. The AT&T One X, or known worldwide as the One XL, also has less internal storage at 16GB and it’s a bit thicker. Everything else remains the same. AT&T says to expect the One X in the “coming months.” Check out the rest of the specs and a promo video below.
