The flagship HTC M7 smartphone is primed for an official unveiling at its February 19 launch event, however, there are two more Android handsets currently in the works from the Taiwan-based manufacturer. Following the M7 and MWC 2013, HTC will release the M4 and G2 in Spring 2013.

Despite being ranked below the M7, the HTC M4 is still considered a high-end device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 4G LTE connectivity, a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 1MP front-facing camera. It should run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0 out of the box. On the other hand, the HTC G2 is an entry-level unit with a 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 5 megapixel camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The M4 sounds like a serviceable phone that may fill the need for those looking for a smaller display. Unfortunately, the G2 sounds like it’s dead on arrival, even for a budget device.
