Get new Android Market on your Honeycomb tablet (video)

The Motorola Xoom (WiFi vesion) recently received an update (HTK75D) and with it came a new version of the Android Market (build 3.1.6). It’s essentially the same Market we saw pushed to Android smartphones over the past few months, but now it’s optimized and working on Honeycomb tablets – finally. In this video, we demo the redesigned Market on the Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. If you don’t have a Xoom and want to manually install the Market on your Honeycomb tablet now, you can download the Android Market build 3.1.5 APK file here (multiupload). This version of the market will install on both tablets and smartphones. Check out the video below to see how it performs on two tablets.

Note: we also filmed a demo on a smartphone a few months back.

Warning: you may or may not encounter issues on your Android as a result of installing the Market APK file, so please back up all of your files – just in case. That being said, you should be able to uninstall and revert back to the original market. Also, I’ve noticed this version is a bit buggy, as it seems to force close every now and then.
