Gameloft released the first trailer for their upcoming Batman game, The Dark Knight Rises, which is inspired by the movie of the same name. As you can see in the video above, it looks like it will deliver fantastic third person action to the smartphone realm. Unfortunately, we have a sick feeling that this game will follow the annoying “freemium” model that Gameloft seems to enjoy, despite negative feedback from fans. Gameloft only notes availability for summer 2012, so we don’t expect to see this title until the blockbuster film is closer to release – around July 20th. We’ll be sure to drop another line when the game arrives on the App Store and Google Play.
