The Verizon Galaxy Nexus news continues to pour in, which gives a good indication that its launch is imminent, or so we’re hoping. Today, one indirect Verizon retailer noticed a new entry in his CelleBrite system, proudly displaying the SCH-i515 Galaxy Nexus model name. It’s unfortunate Verizon still hasn’t updated their eager customers on the exact release date for the LTE-capable Galaxy Nexus, but at least we have leaksters out there doing their best to fill the void in the meantime. Read on to put the CelleBrite entry into better context.
Direct from the tipster:
I work at a Verizon Indirect and our licensing agreement with Cellbrite only allows us to be updated with certain software after approval from Verizon Corporate (so I am told). We always receive official updates to our machine shortly before launch.
Note: the “Nexus Prime” showed itself in CelleBrite a while ago, but this time it’s clearly marked by its retail name – Galaxy Nexus.
