On the other hand, most Android tablets have an aspect ratio of 16:10 or 16:9. The larger tablets are almost always designed to be used in landscape (buttons, speakers(s), branding, etc) while the smaller sized tablets, like the 7-inch Nexus 7, are sometimes set up for portrait. But again, since all these Android tablets use a widescreen aspect ratio, you just never know what these manufacturers are going to put out. Sometimes Samsung makes tablets that look like phones, sometimes they don’t. The 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab was designed for landscape, so I found it interesting that they went with a portrait design for the 8-inch Note.
