Black HTC One Press Image Leaked

The countdown to the HTC One announcement is underway with only a matter of days left until February 19th. We’ve seen the device in white and metallic silver, but now a black colored model has appeared. Outside the color change, the form factor looks identical to the white model and further confirms the authenticity of previous rumors and leaks. If you recall, another image claiming to be the HTC One, or HTC M7 at the time, actually showed a completely different device, so it’s good to know which design we should expect when it’s finally unveiled. As for the differing unit, perhaps it’s the rumored HTC M4?

If you look closely at the screen displayed in the press shot above, you will notice that it’s specifically dated 2/19 and mentions New York, the same day and place as HTC’s upcoming US media event. The press image of the white HTC One also listed the same date, but the location was London. It’s natural to come to the conclusion that the black model is headed to the U.S. while the white model will land in Europe/Asia. The HTC One is expected on all four US carriers – Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile, though Verizon’s launch may lag behind a bit as to not cannibalize sales of one of its current flagship smartphones, the HTC Droid DNA, which launched only a few months ago.

Rumored specs and features of the HTC One: a 4.7-inch 1080p Full HD display with pixel density of 468 ppi, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13-megapixel camera, 4G LTE connectivity, 2,300 mAh battery, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0.
