The Google Nexus 7 tablet will soon be available in a 3G model, according to Paul O’Brien of MoDaCo. Asus is currently preparing the device for launch and it’s expected to be released in “around 6 weeks” (mid-October). Aside from the additional form of connectivity, the Nexus 7 3G will feature the same hardware specs and features as the original: a 7-inch HD (1280×800, 216ppi) back-lit IPS display, Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core 1.3GHz processor (12-core GPU), 1GB of RAM, 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, 4325 mAh battery, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It seems the launch regions and partners have yet to be revealed.

Will there be 4G LTE version for Verizon, AT&T and Sprint as well?
