Google announced Android 4.2 Jelly Bean along with the Nexus 4 smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet today. One of the highlighted software features of Android 4.2 is a new camera enhancement called Photo Sphere.

Photo Sphere essentially allows you to capture more of the world around you by stitching together multiple pictures taken from various angles to form a single, fluid image. It’s like taking a panorama, but in all directions in an effort to form an immersive photo sphere. Think of it as creating your own Google Street View for the environment around you.

We’ve seen something similar from third party apps in the past, but now it’s built into all devices running Android 4.2 and higher. We figured you would want to see the new Photo Sphere camera feature in action, so check out the video demo of it on LG’s new Nexus 4 above.
