UPDATE: new video leak showing Nexus Prime running Android ICS.
One lucky eBay customer purchased a Google Nexus S (Samsung), which runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box, only to find it running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich once receiving the unit. Naturally, he demoed the unreleased software for the whole world to see. The firmware appears to be running on the same baseband as previously leaked screenshots showed, but this time with updated build IRK48 and kernel 3.0.1. There are clearly traces of Honeycomb (circular lockscreen, apps/widgets launcher, task switcher) and Gingerbread influences all over. The user interface, notification bar and other areas of the software have been re-themed as well. Check out the video below to see it in action.
