Amazon wants consumers to know that they can buy a Kindle Fire ($199), a second Kindle Fire ($199), and the latest Kindle e-Reader ($79) for less than the cost of just one 16GB iPad 2 ($499) in their latest ad. When the retail giant puts it that way, they certainly make a compelling case, even if the three products have varying abilities and screen sizes. We can actually take it a step further by saying three Kindle Fires would cost the same as one 32GB iPad2. The Kindle Fire is no slouch either, as it sports a 7-inch 1024 x 600 IPS display (169 ppi, 16 million colors), 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, 8GB of internal storage and it runs a custom build of Android. If anything, the commercial below will inform consumers that there are wallet-friendly options out there. After all, not everyone needs the features of an iPad or a 10″ tablet. Has the affordable price of the Kindle Fire convinced you to get one over an iPad or Android tablet?
